Fall Historical Tour 

We are so excited to have Lakeview Area Museum hosting the Fall Historical Tour at Dickerson-Whitsell Cemetery. It will be held on October 10, 2026 @ 1:00 p.m.  Anyone who has visited this beautiful cemetery knows there is something truly special about it in the autumn.  The changing leaves, historic stones, and peaceful surroundings make it the perfect setting to step back in time and enjoy some local history.  

Headstone Cleaning - Amble Cemetery

It was a great evening cleaning the headstones at Amble Cemetery. Many of our volunteers have family members buried at the cemetery, so it was wonderful to hear them sharing stories while working together.  Thank you to everyone who gave their time and effort!! 

Volunteers were able to set a monument for Civil War Veteran Danford Barton at Dickerson-Whitsell Cemetery.   Barton had a temporary marker for almost 100 years, and we were happy to install a proper headstone for him.  Thank you!!
